Until more recent years no Bulldog nose GM locomotives operated in Sweden. However, several Swedish private railway companies bought some Class MX and MY locomotives directly from the Danish DSB state railways or from other Swedish private railway companies. The following companies use these locomotives:

Railcare T

On 1 January 2016 Railcare and Three T merged into Railcare T, which is a rail infrastructure contractor and provision of locomotives, staff and freight cars. Workshops are in Långsele and Skelleftehamn.

Owns:
  • TMX 1013 (ex-DSB MX 1013), not operational in Långsele in 'Grand Nordic' blue livery;
  • TMX 1014 (ex-DSB MX 1014), not operational in Långsele in IBAB red/silver stripe livery;
  • TMX 1015 (ex-DSB MX 1015, in a red/white/blue livery of ThreeT since the end of 2011). Bantåg i Dalarna AB bought this loco from IBAB in early 2003. In November 2004 open access railway company RailCare Group bought Bantåg along with the locomotive; currently parked out of use in Långsele;
  • TMX 1016 (ex-DSB MX 1016), not operational in Långsele'Grand Nordic' blue livery;
  • TMX 104 (ex-DSB MX 1021) in DSB grafitti livery (the side windows were replaced for the square ones of the electric Rc-locomotives);
  • TMY 1105 bought from Inlandsgods in 2007 (now in white livery). In the winter of 2019/2020 the loco was used for snow plough duties out of Hallsberg;
  • TMY 1110 (in a red/white/blue livery of ThreeT since the end of 2011); bought early 2010 from Motala Verskstad who bought them earlier on out of the Skånetåg Bulk AB bankruptcy; currently undergoes a major overhaul in Långsele;
  • TMY 1122 (in Railcare T grey/white/red livery); bought early 2010 from Motala Verskstad who bought them earlier on out of the Skånetåg Bulk AB bankruptcy. Overhauled early 2010 and residing in Padborg, Denmark.
  • TMY 1124 (in DSB red/black livery; without motor as spare parts donor in Långsele); bought early 2010 from Motala Verskstad who bought them earlier on out of the Skånetåg Bulk AB bankruptcy.
  • TMY 1134 (in Railcare T grey/white/red livery); bought early 2010 from Motala Verskstad who bought them earlier on out of the Skånetåg Bulk AB bankruptcy. Overhauled early 2010.

  • TMY 1150 bought from Inlandsgods in 2007 (in Railcare T grey/white/red livery). This loco is currently used to shunt iron ore trains for Kaunis Iron in Svappavaara;
  • TMY 1157 bought from Inlandsgods in 2007 (in a red/white/blue livery of ThreeT since the beginning of 2013).

  • ex-NSB Di3.621 (green/white stripes livery) is used to be a spare parts donor at Inlandsbanan. It currently resides at Långsele.

    Trafikverket has contracted Railcare T with the availability of a 24/7 standby rescue locomotive including train driver for three years (plus optional twice an one year extension) starting from 26 October 2020.

    BLDX

    Owns:
  • TMX 1018 (ex-DSB MX 1018; ex-HFHJ MX 18; not operational) in HFHJ red and silver stripe livery.

    CFL cargo Sverige AB (former MidCargo, Nya Inlandsgods, Inlandsgods and BK Tåg)

    Owns:

  • ex-BSM TMX 1027 (ex-DSB MX 1027) in BSX Tåg red livery; stands as spare parts donor in Mockfjärd.

    This company also rents roundnoses from Svensk Tågkraft for traction of trains around Nässjö.

    Inlandsbanan AB (IBAB)

    Owns Di3.632 (ex-NSB Di3.632; red below/white above livery) which is operational (currently shunts in Östersund as long a the usual T44 gets repaired; also runs to Lugnvik with freight trains), ex-DSB MX 1028 (in BSM red livery; spare parts donor in Kristinehamn) and 9505 (ex-Strukton Rail 9505, ex-Tågab TMY 102, ex-DSB MY 1128; currently non operational in repairs; in Strukton yellow livery).

    Back in 2005 Inlandsbanan provided the Östersund - Mora and the Östersund - Gällivare tourist trains over the 'Inlandsbanen' route, sometimes with IBAB TMX Nohab traction. In the winter of 2019/2020 Inlansbanan provided the traction with its roundnoses for the Snälltäget winter sport train (Malmö/Stockholm - Storuman) between Östersund and Storuman.
    Tågab bought Inlandståg AB in 2022.

    Projsoft (Tågkraft)

    Owns:
  • M 34 (ex-DSB MX 1031, in LJ orange livery, non ATC-equipped) bought from the Danish Lollandsbanen;
  • M 35 = TMX 1033 (ex-DSB MX 1033, in orange/white stripe livery, non ATC-equipped) bought from the Danish Lollandsbanen; parked out of order in Nässjö:
  • M 37 (ex-DSB MX 1004, in LJ orange livery, non ATC-equipped) bought from the Danish Lollandsbanen;
  • TMX 1042 (ex-DSB MX 1042) in BK Tåg light blue livery with white stripe; bought from STT in 2008.

    This Stockholm based company rents their locomotives out.

    Skandinaviska Jernbanor

    3.629 (ex-Ofotbanen Drift) is now owned by Skandinaviska Jernbanor, but currently stands defect in Amal. Its bogies were sent to Falkoping for repair work but this has been stopped

    Svensk Tågkraft (STAB)

    Their depot is in Nassjö.

    Owns:

  • MX 1009 (ex-M11 Nordjyske Jernbaner; bought from Contec Rail in January 2012; white/blue NJ livery);
  • TMX 1012 (ex-DSB MX 1012, ex-BSM) in orange/white stripe livery; currently runs work trains;
    (li> TMX 1024 (ex-DSB MX 1024, ex-BSM TMX 1024) which was bought from insolvent Skånetåg Bulk AB. It is in a red cabs/whity body Vida livery. Alvesta is its depot;
  • MX 1038 (ex-M10 Nordjyske Jernbaner; bought from Contec Rail in January 2012; white/blue NJ livery);
  • TMX 1041 (ex-M9 Nordjyske Jernbaner; bought from Contec Rail in January 2012; red/white stripe livery); since March 2020 this loco is used by Väte Rail to shunt trains in Uddevalla and since 1 July 2020 to run trains from Uddevalla to the paper mill in Munkedal;
  • TMY 1111 (ex-DSB MY 1111). STT overhauled the locomotive in an eco-friendly locomotive project. The locomotive got a new Cummins diesel motor and now has an orange and silver livery with black on top. In summer 2020 the locomotive was used by Baneservice to transport sand, chalc and soda from Halmstad to Limmared (near Bredaryd);
  • TMX 1017 (ex-DSB MX 1017; ex-HFHJ MX 17; ex-BLDX 1017) in HFHJ red and silver stripe livery, not operational;
  • TMX 1019 (ex-DSB MX 1019; ex-HFHJ MX 19; ex-BLDX 1019) in BLDX dark green/white/light green with orange stripes livery, not operational.

    Since the start of 2022 CFL cargo Sverige rents one TMX locomotive for Vida freight trains.

    Tågåkeriet i Bergslagen AB (Tågab)

    Owns:
  • Tågab TMY 101 (ex-DSB MY 1121) in Tågab silver with red stripes livery. In January 2018 Tågab promised to hand over this locomotive to Sveriges Järnvägsmuseum when it will take her out of service. For now, it is still in use for Tågab freight trains;
  • Tågab TMY 103 (ex-DSB MY 1123) in Tågab silver with red stripes livery;
  • Tågab TMY 105 (ex-DSB MY 1113) in Tågab silver with red stripes livery;
  • Tågab TMY 106 (ex-DSB MY 1108) in the Great Northern Railroad (USA) green/orange livery (was used for feature in the film "Dancer in the Dark"); not operational;
  • Tågab TMY 110 (ex-DSB MY 1132) in a white/red stripe/blue underframe livery of Inlandsgods, bought back from Inlandsgods in 2007;
  • TMY 1156 (ex-DSB 1156) in DSB red/black livery bought from TGOJ in 2005; this loco was sold and transferred to Karpat Vasut in Hungary in April 2015.

    Early September 2004 Tågab put three TMY locomotives for sale: two in operable condition and one as spare parts donor. The TMY 106 'Dancer in the Dark' is one of them. In 2008 Tagab sold its TMX 104 (ex-DSB MX 1021; in DSB grafitti livery with square side windows) together with TMX 1028 (ex-DSB MX 1028; spare parts supplier; in BSM red livery; in Kristinehamn) to Inlandsbanan AB in Sweden. Tagab scrapped TMY 1118 and TMY 1141.

    The Tågab bulldog nose GM units often can be seen in front of the following Tågab freight trains ordered by Green Cargo (they could however be replaced by another type of locomotive):

    Besides the above mentioned trains a TMY double-header arrives Mondays to Fridays at 09.35 in Västervik and leaves again in the afternoon at 17.37 hours in the direction of Linköping.

    Since 11 December 2011 Tågab runs three StoraEnso wood log trains per week on behalf of Hector Rail from Torsby via Kil and Grums to Skoghall. Traction form two TMY locomotives.

    Also in 2016, Tågab runs with a double-traction of TMY locomotives four wood log trains from Torsby to the paper mill in Grums:
